Privacy Policy

Crash Check ("Crash Check", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit this website, use our matching or referral services, or interact with our communications.
Crash Check is a marketing and matching platform. We are not a law firm, attorney, or insurance company, and we do not provide legal advice or legal representation. We help connect people who have been in a motor vehicle accident with independent third-party attorneys, law firms, legal service providers, and insurance providers who may be able to assist them.
By using this website or submitting your information, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Personal Data. You may voluntarily provide personally identifiable information when you complete a form, request a call, or otherwise contact us. This may include your name, address, email address, phone number, information about your accident or injury, the state in which the accident occurred, insurance status, and other details needed to match you with a provider.
Derivative Data. Our servers and analytics providers automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, access times, pages viewed, and UTM or campaign parameters when you visit the website.
Mobile Device Data. If you access the website from a mobile device, we may collect device identifiers, device model and manufacturer, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
Tracking Technologies. We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies, which may include tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Match you with third-party attorneys, law firms, legal service providers, and insurance providers;
- Facilitate contact from those providers by phone, SMS, email, or postal mail;
- Measure and optimize our marketing performance and advertising attribution;
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activity and ensure TCPA and legal compliance;
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Respond to your questions, requests, and feedback.
How We Share Your Information
Core purpose of the Services. When you submit your information, you expressly authorize us to share that information with third-party providers so that they may contact you about their products and services.
We may share your information with the following categories of recipients:
- Attorneys, law firms, and legal service providers who may evaluate or handle accident and injury matters.
- Insurance providers and agencies who may offer relevant products or services.
- Lead-distribution and matching platforms that route your information in real time to providers in our network.
- Service providers who perform hosting, analytics, email and SMS delivery, customer support, and advertising services on our behalf and are contractually bound to use your information only as directed.
- Advertising partners such as Meta and Google, which may receive hashed identifiers for campaign attribution and optimization.
- Legal and safety authorities where disclosure is necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or investigate fraud.
- Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Because we "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state laws, you have the right to opt out. See Your State Privacy Rights and our Do Not Sell or Share page.
Telephone, SMS, and Email Communications (TCPA)
By submitting a form, you may be providing your express written consent to be contacted by Crash Check and the providers we match you with at the phone number and email address you provide, including by automated telephone dialing system, artificial or pre-recorded voice messages, and text/SMS messages, even if your number is registered on a federal or state Do Not Call list.
This consent is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving assistance. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by visiting our Unsubscribe page or by replying STOP to any text message. Opting out of communications from Crash Check does not automatically opt you out of communications from a provider you were matched with; to stop those, contact the provider directly.
Cookies and Advertising Technology
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze traffic and deliver relevant advertising. This includes first-party cookies and third-party cookies from partners such as Meta and Google. For a full description and management instructions, see our Cookie Policy.
Your State Privacy Rights

You have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes of collection, and the categories of recipients; to delete your personal information (subject to exceptions); to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, visit our Do Not Sell or Share page or email us at support@crashcheck.com. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, Oregon, and other states. Residents of these states may have similar rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law:
- Lead data: up to 24 months from collection, unless a longer period is legally required.
- TCPA consent records: a minimum of 5 years, consistent with the applicable statute of limitations.
- Server logs and IP data: typically 90 days.
- Suppression and opt-out records: retained indefinitely so that we can honor your ongoing opt-out request.
Upon a valid deletion request, we remove your information from our active systems and notify partner providers so they can process the deletion on their end.
Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide to us. However, no security measure is perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against interception or misuse.
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach involving your unencrypted personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators in accordance with the notification timelines required by federal law and the privacy laws of your state of residence.
Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for users 18 years of age and older. Crash Check does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected such information without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents who believe their child's information was collected should contact us at support@crashcheck.com.
Do Not Track
Most browsers include a Do Not Track feature, but there is no uniform standard for responding to these signals. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but we do honor valid Global Privacy Control signals as described above.
Third-Party Websites
The website may link to third-party sites, including the websites of providers you are matched with. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party website. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third party before sharing information with them.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice. Your continued use of the website after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
